Carolyn “CJ” Lowenthal – San Mateo Designer

CJ is a multiple award-winning designer who enjoys designing all types and styles of kitchens including Contemporary, Craftsman, Traditional and Country. She has been selling kitchens for over 20 years at Gilmans Kitchens and Baths with clients located from Sonoma to Santa Cruz.

Her kitchens have been featured in Signature Kitchen and Bath Magazine as well as on local Kitchen Tours, and she’s even designed the entertainment kitchen cabinetry for a Dickens House. CJ received 2nd place in the 2015 NKBA awards and in 2012, CJ received first place in the NARI Remmie awards for a remodeled kitchen.

Although CJ’s home base is at the Burlingame showroom, she is based out of the San Mateo location and takes the time to travel to all four locations in order to assist her clients, which include many homeowners, designers, and contractors, alike; with some of the contractors and designers having worked with her for over 20 years.

CJ has a BS degree in Design from the University of California Davis and has completed many advanced kitchen and bath design courses including WoodMode, BrookHaven, DeWils, Dura Supreme, and Kitchen Craft. She is also active in the Foster City Community. She served many years on the Foster City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and donates many hours of community service locally and in Mexico.
